Black Shrew Esports, formerly LGD Malaysia, continued their run of form this season with a strong 2-0 win against Revenant Esports, from Singapore, in the Honor of Kings Championship 2024 group stage day 2. The Honor of Kings Invitational 2024 Midseason champion dismantled their opponent swiftly as they finished both games in under twenty minutes combined.
The Malaysian team now has a chance to complete their season as the most dominant team in the world, as they are the strong favourites to win the tournament with how they performed. Their next test comes in the form of Fearless Esports from Hong Kong.
On the other series for day 2, Dominator Esports continued their winning ways as they defeated FUT Esports with a 2-1 scoreline. The champion of the Indonesia Qualifier kept their strong start to the series and now almost guaranteed their place in the playoff, especially if they can win the last series against Mahadewa on the previous day of Group Stage.
Kagendra, the second representative from Indonesia, didn't have a great series as EMEA representatives Team Vitality defeated them in a 2-1 series. This put Vitality in the lead for the moment, with a one-series advantage against Kagendra.
The last series on day 2 was a fight between the champion of the Philippines Qualifier, BOOM Esports, and the winner of the Torneio Da Ascensão, Alpha7 Esports. Many anticipated this would be a tight series, but that didn't pan out as the Philippines representatives completely outclassed their opponent in a 2-0 win to put themselves on the lead in the group.
Day 3 of Honor of Kings Championship 2024 group stage will pit Fearless Esport against Revenant Esports in an effort to position themselves better in the group. Team Secret will debut on the tournament against Influence Rage while NOVA will met the MENA representatives, Falcons Esports. Lastly, the duel between Blacklist International and Mahadewa will close the day.
