Burnice is the fourth member of the sons of Calydon.
The excitement continues to build up, with HoYoverse revealing yet another upcoming playable agent for Zenless Zone Zero: Burnice White, only a day after the reveal of Caesar King on Sunday (11 August):
Burnice is an upcoming Fire Anomaly character from the Sons of Calydon faction. This makes her the fourth character from the said faction, joining Lucy, Piper, and Caesar King, and the first, limited Fire Anomaly character in the game.
This wasn’t also the first time Burnice appeared in any ZZZ content—having appeared in a promotional video right before ZZZ’s official release.
Who is Burnice White?
Wearing a mostly black crop top with a white pattern of a hog's nose on her chest, along with what appears to be an equally black leather jacket with red accents and embellished with metal spikes, a black and red skirt, black stockings with red stripes—you get the idea. She also appears to be carrying a fuel tank in her back and holding two flamethrowers—Burnice could be quite the pyromaniac.
Not much has been revealed about Burnice, except what was on her agent records. A quote from someone named Lighter described her as a “Very sociable person,” to the point where even when Ethereals have already shown up, “you have to have a couple of Nitro Fuels with her before leaving.” (Nitro Fuel is a drink that had been teased in earlier ZZZ promotionals).
Burnice’s own quotes in a post on ZZZ’s official X (formerly Twitter) account also has her talking about the same drink, Nitro Fuel. "Not bad, right? I made this Nitro-Fuel with a brand new flavor using a special ingredient that I got from the city."
Another quote by Caesar King, says that “Burnice’s drinks never disappoint.” With these quotes, many fans seem to think that Burnice could be a bartender or a bar owner.
Aside from serving some Nitro Fuel to her patrons, it also seems like she specialises in actual vehicle fuel as well, with her quote from X going, "Speaking of which... You've got a vehicle! I've concocted some of my own super-efficient fuel. You should give it a try!"
What’s Burnice’s rarity?
Burnice's agent announcement omitted any mention of her rarity. According to the preceding agent announcements, S-Ranks Agents are the first two characters to be announced before or during a patch.
Caesar King and Hoshimi Miyabi, both agents from Section 6, were the first two to be revealed, so it's possible that Caesar and Miyabi are the S-rank characters in 1.2.
But since there have been no new developments since Miyabi's initial tease, and the announcements on Caesar and Burnice so close together, it's also possible that they are upcoming S-Rank characters.
Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 1.1 update launches on August 14.
