Here’s everything you need to know about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 5.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has released its fifth season of content, adding new maps, game modes, WWE wrestlers and more to the shooter. Call of Duty: Warzone’s Urzikstan map is also seeing the return of Superstore, and the Zombies game mode is getting its final story mission.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 content detailed
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is getting a ton of new content in Season 5, starting with two new Multiplayer Core 6v6 maps: the sunny Florida docks-set Bait and the dusty Sonoran Desert-set Yard. Three cel-shaded variant maps are also being added: Celship (Shipment), Toonoxide (Rust) and Ink House (Stash House).
The game is also adding skins for WWE wrestlers Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio, along with a special wrestling-themed game mode called Slam Death Match. This is a 2v2v2 quickfire game mode, where players use finishing moves to take down their enemies. Three more modes will launch midway through Season 5: Fishfection, Paint and ‘Fuse.
The Zombies game mode is also getting its final story mode, capping off Operation Deadbolt once and for all.
In this last mission, Operation Deadbolt heads into a new section of the Dark Aether to confront the Entity. Players who beat the final mission will be able to access a new Dark Aether Rift, which gives players a new way to explore the Dark Aether and gain more rewards.
Call of Duty: Warzone is also getting new content with Season 5, starting with the return of the Superstore point of interest in Urzikstan. New modes like Superstore Resurgence and Supreme Resurgence are coming to Rebirth Island, where a new season of Ranked Play is also kicking off.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is also getting some new content to coincide with Season 5’s release, starting with a new small-sized map called Meat set in a slaughterhouse. Verdansk is also getting new points of interest, like a zoo and train wreck. You can find more details on all these changes on Activision's official Season 5 blog post here.
