The action-RPG Zenless Zone Zero finally gets a release date.
Genshin Impact maker HoYoverse has dropped a release date for its next game Zenless Zone Zero: July 4, 2024. The action-RPG will launch on PlayStation 5, PC, Android and iOS simultaneously with cross-play and cross-progression enabled at launch. It’s described by HoYoverse as an ‘urban fantasy’ game, taking place in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by supernatural disasters called Hollows.
Zenless Zone Zero launches on July 4, nears pre-registration goal
Developer HoYoverse has announced a release date for its upcoming action-RPG Zenless Zone Zero, and it’s not too far away: July 4, 2024. The game is also nearing its final goal of 40 million pre-registrations, which will reward players with 12 Master Tapes - these are used to obtain rare characters - once the game launches. HoYoverse is also enabling cross-progression and cross-play for the game at launch, allowing players to hop across platforms and play with friends seamlessly.
Zenless Zone Zero differentiates itself from Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail by its setting: a post-apocalypse annihilated by supernatural disasters referred to as Hollows. The last remaining city in the world, New Eridu, acts as a hub world for the player and the last remaining pillar of modern civilisation. Players will assume the role of Proxies who guide other adventurers through Hollows to uncover their mysteries.
The game’s final closed beta ended this week, but you can still pre-register on all platforms to get a slice of those aforementioned pre-registration rewards at launch. We might hear more about the game during a PlayStation showcase rumoured to take place sometime this week.
Zenless Zone Zero will launch on PlayStation 5, PC, Android and iOS on July 4.
