Diablo’s Lilith and Inarius, He-Man’s Skeletor, Spawn and more will join Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone in a big Halloween-themed crossover.

Activision has announced a major horror crossover for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 6: The Haunting. Not only will the franchise get Lilith and Inarius from Diablo 4 as new playable characters, but Skeletor from He-Man, Ash Williams from Evil Dead, Alucard from Hellsing and Spawn to boot.

Season 6’s big Halloween-themed season is practically bursting at the seams with crossovers from other horror franchises, in addition to the usual content updates adding a spooky vibe to the game’s maps and weapons. Inarius, Lilith, Skeletor, Ash Williams and Alucard will all be purchasable as Operator bundles in the shop, along with a weapon bundle containing the chainsaw and shotgun from id Software’s Doom franchise.

Spawn, from the titular comics by Todd McFarlane, will headline Season 6’s battle pass as an earnable skin. More Spawn-themed cosmetics and Operator skins will be available to earn in the battle pass, with a few more characters from the Spawn franchise appearing as their own skins. Lilith, Ash Williams and Skeletor will sadly not be in the battle pass, which means that you’ll have to fork out extra to pick them up.

Season 6 is also bringing big changes to Warzone and Modern Warfare 2. In Warzone, Operation Nightmare brings a mid-season event that adds a bounty board of monsters for players to target across the map. Vondel will also get a zombie outbreak under a blood red moon, and zombie royale returns for two maps. Modern Warfare 2 will get four new maps, with two being core maps and two being Gunfight maps. El Asilo and Embassy will get Halloween-themed reskins, and the rest of the game’s classic modes will get spooky makeovers with jump scares, skulls, zombies and more.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 6 will launch on September 27, 2023. Most of the cosmetics you earn this season can be carried over to Modern Warfare 3, which launches this November.
