Five new countries in Southeast Asia can now preview PC Game Pass.
Microsoft is bringing a preview of the PC Game Pass to five countries in Southeast Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Starting today, players in these countries can sign up to preview PC Game Pass, which gives them access to a massive library of video games at a monthly fee. The real kicker here is that your first month of PC Game Pass will cost just RM1.00.
PC Game Pass plays host to over 100 video games, including Day One Xbox Game Studios releases, Bethesda games and a membership to Electronic Arts’ subscription service EA Play. Subscribers get access to a truly massive library of content, with new games getting added to the service on a monthly basis. Games also leave the service regularly, but we take the good with the bad here.
Here’s how you can try out PC Game Pass: first, you’ll have to join the preview using the Xbox Insider app (available here). After that, you’ll just have to fork up RM1 to gain access to PC Game Pass for the duration of this preview while Microsoft tests local payment systems. The company is also inviting participants to share their feedback on the service during this trial period so they can make improvements.
PC Game Pass will fully launch in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam later in 2022. Subscribers will get to play games like Forza Horizon 5, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Fallout 4, Halo Infinite and more via the service. EA Play also gives you access to games from EA’s own library, such as Battlefield V, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and The Sims 4.
