AVULUS issued a Level 3 Penalty vs Falcons due to altercation at PGL Wallachia Season 2

Following an incident between SoNNeikO and ATF, PGL has issued AVULUS a Level 3 Penalty in their series against Falcons. 

Team Falcons continue to be the center of attention at PGL Wallachia Season 2 – but not for their performance and play.

The event kicked off on Friday with a bit of drama, after Nigma Galaxy was forced to forfeit their series against Falcons, giving them a one-series win for free.

Now, they will receive a draft advantage in their upcoming series against AVULUS. 

While details of the incident have not been disclosed, it does appear to have taken place in person at the hotel lobby. 

According to the rumors and sources, the altercation is a result of Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf flaming Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev in pubs a few months ago. SoNNeikO then responded that he would punch ATF if he ever saw him on LAN. Apparently, they met and had some type of exchange. 

The Level 3 penalty will subtract 110 seconds AVULUS bonus time on the draft, and will be applied for the entirety of the series.

Currently, AVULUS has been dominating and both teams are at the top of the group with a 2:0 record each. AVULUS is an interesting mix of newer and veteran players from both Eastern and Western Europe – most notably SoNNeikO. This motley crew took the championship title at CCT Series 2 under the name Team Tea, and have been surging forward since.

  • One modified Swiss-system of sixteen teams
  • All matches are Bo3
  • Top eight teams advance to playoffs
  • Remaining teams are eliminated
