Boom Esports return to Southeast Asia with Filipino legends DJ and Tims

Boom Esports ended their affair in South America after an underwhelming season and returned home to Southeast Asia.

Boom ventured to South America in the post-TI12 shuffle when they signed a mix of stars and up-and-coming players from the region. But despite SA being regarded as one of the least stacked regions, Boom still struggled to stay at the top throughout the season and ended up missing out on a ticket to The International 2024 as well.

In the post TI13 shuffle, the SEA organization dropped the entire team and are now the first to confirm a full new roster for the new season. However, two of the new players are joining on a trial basis.

Former Xtreme Gaming and more recently, Nigma Galaxy carry player Daniel "Ghost" Chan along with Mc "Mac" Villanueva are joining the roster as trials and will prove their worth through the upcoming BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 regional qualifiers.

Along with Ghost, Boom have also recruited Saieful "Fbz" Ilham from Nigma, but the latter joins straight as a full member. The same applies for Timothy John "TIMS" Randrup, who comes from the recently disbanded Blacklist Rivalry roster and who will be taking the captainship role at Boom.

Philippine legend Djardel "DJ" Mampusti is rounding up the roster at Boom Esports after having to wait for an opportunity since May, when he departed from Bleed Esports.

Boom’s new line-up will have SEA veteran Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung joining in the coaching seat for the new season.

SEA fans will get to see the new line-up in action next week in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024: Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier. The competition is set to begin on the 23rd of September with eight teams fighting for one slot to the LAN event.
