PSG.Quest and OG clashed in the first lower bracket round for a shot at advancing into the top 8 at the $5,000,000 Dota 2 tournament part of the Esport World Cup.

OGvsPSG Quest

OG started the battle with a dominating first game on the back of a perfectly executed Mars-Phoenix combo. They caught PSG.Quest with the egg into the Mars arena a few times to claim game one victory in under 30 minutes.

Moving on into the series, it was PSG.Quest’s turn to bring the clutch plays and even the game score. For the third game, OG allowed PSG.Quest to have Tiny and Beastmaster. The MENA representatives had a diabolic plan in mind and once they got their hands on the aforementioned heroes and Jakiro, they closed the drafting stage with Naga Siren. The combo power between Naga, Jakiro, Tiny and Beastmaster, as well as the enormous amount of lockdowns, punished OG in every skirmish and team fight.

While OG are heading home with just a 9th-12th place finish and $100,000 in their pockets, PSG Quest will return to the arena on Friday, July 19 for a battle for survival against Team Spirit, the Riyadh masters defending champions.

In the meantime, Day 3 in the playoffs stage continues with the upper bracket semifinals Team FalconsvsGaimin Gladiators followed by Team LiquidvsTundra Esports.
