Between now and The International 2023, most of the teams that will fight in Seattle in October for the most wanted Dota 2 trophy will have a final dress rehearsal at DreamLeague Season 21.
A total of twelve teams will gather next month in bootcamps in Europe to participate at DL Season 21 for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool and the chance to fine-tune their strategies for TI12 in a tournament environment.
With the competition squeezed between TI regional qualifiers and the TI itself, this DreamLeague season will run for just a week, from September 18 to the 24th of the month with a compressed format compared to the previous editions held this year.
From two group stages in the previous season, the upcoming event will have just a round-robin group stage that will unfold across two and a half days on three different streams. The 12 participating teams will be split into two groups with the top eight from each group advancing to the double elimination playoffs bracket.
“The Saturday night live of esports is back for another season!” said Shane Clarke, Director, Game Ecosystems – Dota 2 at EFG. “We’re incredibly excited to continue the ESL Pro Tour for Dota 2 journey and bring DreamLeague’s unprecedented online atmosphere to live again this September.”
