Gaimin Gladiators show complete domination of the Dota Pro Circuit becoming back-to-back-to-back Major Champions.
Lima Major, Berlin Major and now Bali Major trophies have all gone to Gaimin Gladiators, who all three times have made it to the grand finals from the upper bracket and all three times took down Team Liquid to complete a fantastic journey to TI12.
Gaimin GladiatorsvsTeam Liquid
A major where the meta revolved around Morphing, Medusa and Broodmother had the grand finals also being all about who gets to play one of these three, who had the best answers, and how many bans can be spent trying to block the Morhpling combos.
Game one started with Gaimin banning Morph and Medusa in the first phase, triggering a first pick Brood from Liquid. However, despite being in the lead for almost the entire game, all it took was a team wipe at the 40 minute mark for GG to turn the game on its head and open the series with a victory.
Game two had all the three menacing cores banned and Liquid were able to even the series with a classic Leshrac-Io duo. But moving into the next match, they received the same Leshrac-Io treatment from Gaimin, who took the advantage again in a very dominant game, forcing out the GG call in 20 minutes.
With one game away from winning the third major in a row, Gaimin were able to draft some of their signature heroes and walk away with a flawless 3-1 win.
Bali Major marks the 5th overall championship title won by Gaimin Gladiators in 2023, who are definitely heading into The International 2023 as the most dominant team in the recent Dota 2 history. Before TI12, they will also be present at Riyadh Masters 2023, which starts on the 17th of July with the best 18 teams in the world fighting for a share of the $15,000,000 prize pool.
The Bali Major might be over, but do tune in in the next couple of days as we have more content related to the major to keep you all warmed up before we head into Riyadh Masters, in less than 10 days' time!
