There is a big Dota 2 update coming. Most of us knew when. But through the use of complicated riddles, Valve have revealed when the new patch will arrive.
A week ago, the rumor began to take shape that the next major Dota 2 patch (let’s say, Dota 2 patch 7.33) would be released on the 20th of April, the day on which the second group stage of DreamLeague Season 19 ends. Now through some riddles that are as complex as playing Wraith King, the release date has been confirmed.
Valve put out a number of riddles regarding the ‘next big Dota update’, one of which is the release date. Let’s take a quick look at the riddles. The first one gives us the date on which the patch will be released.
The next big Dota Update is going to release on a date that rhymes with Smaypril Twemmieth and comes between April 19th and April 21st.
Now, if you cannot figure that out, you should not be playing Dota 2, because half the posts on r/Dota2 are probably about you. 20th April is the magic day (as most of the community knew) on which Dota 2 patch 7.33 will be released! Although until it is released, you can never be sure of it.
Now the next set of riddles are a bit challenging.
[UNIT] is now controllable by the player that dug it up
[HERO]: Always has 0 Intelligence. Always.
[ITEM]: Now has an initial and max stock of 4 and a restock time of 120s
After this effect the soul is forcefully returned to the body
[HERO]: Base armor increased by 1
[UNIT TYPE] now gain 15 movement speed during the night.
Mana cost reduction effects only apply to mana cost
[ITEM]: Requires Echo Sabre (2500), Diadem (1000), Recipe (1000). Total cost: 4500
Any player can use a [NOUN] to [VERB] to the other one after channeling for 3 seconds.
The hero without intelligence is inspired by Tiny. He’s had 0 agility and 0 agility gain for a while, but still continues to kick rocks (sounds better than kick ass). It will be interesting to see who suffers the 0 intelligence fate. Any guesses?
The most interesting of the lot is the last one.
It can either be teleporting from one Outpost to another (if your team controls both), or it could be a completely new building, which could be team controlled or neutral.
Either ways, it seems like the patch 7.33 is just on the horizon. Get your last games of patch 7.32e out of your system, because it seems tomorrow is going to be a new world order in Dota 2.
