HellRaisers bid farewell to Nikita "Daxak" Kuzmin before heading off to the Lima Major in two weeks.
HellRaisers were the third and final team from EEU to seize a highly coveted spot for the first Major of the DPC 2022-23 Season. Things were definitely looking up for the team already this season. Last year HellRaisers was competing in Division II.
But not all that looks positive on the surface is the same behind the scenes.
Although there is no fully disclosed reason for the departure, those in the Russian community have told GosuGamers that reports are of trouble behind the scenes and not a very friendly parting of ways.
In order to remove Nikita "Daxak" Kuzmin, the team will pay a price in the form of DPC points.
- Removing a player from the DPC roster incurs a 20% penalty to all points earned at the time of removal.
- In addition, removing a player from the DPC roster after securing a slot at a Major will incur a 20% penalty on DPC points earned from that Major.
For HellRaisers, that means they are starting with at least 24 fewer points than their peers heading to the event.
There is no word on who will replace Daxak and if that player will be a substitute or officially added to the roster.
HellRaisers will take on Nemiga today at 12:00 CET in the BetBoom Universe event taking place. This might give fans the first indication of what to expect in Lima.
The 2023 DPC Winter Tour is set to witness the first-ever Dota 2 Major held in South America. Lima, Peru’s capital city, will host the Major at Arena 1 between February 22 - March 5.
