It is the last week of the DPC 2021-22 Spring Tour and it is the last chance for teams to land a spot at the Major or avoid regulation into the Lower Division.
The stakes are high this week for some teams. Not only is regulation on the line, but the chance to participate in the first LAN Major of the season AND with an audience is at hand.
In Western Europe, Team Liquid already sent Nigma Galaxy to Division II and secured a spot at the Major. There is only one more spot for the Major up for grabs and Team Secret and Tundra are hopeful of securing it.
Tundra will face off against Brame Tuesday, April 19th at 15:00 CEST in a decisive series that will determine the last slot and potentially which team heads to Division II.
In SEA, Fnatic and Boom Esports have booked their tickets and one spot remains available. Polaris is the frontrunner for it, but T1 is still in the running -- if they can take down Fnatic on Wednesday, April 20th at 12:00 CEST.
In North America, there are only two spots allocated, and three teams --Evil Geniuses, Quincy Crew, and TSM FTX all contenders for them. Although none of them have secured a place yet, TSM is in the lead with a 6:0 series record after they took down EG 2:1 in their last matchup. One of these three will be sitting it out at home and the upcoming series between QC and TSM on Wednesday, April 20th at 21:00 CEST will be a banger.
In South America, Thunder Awaken slid into the first place rank and booked their ticket to Sweden. beastcoast is next in line but Hokori is right on their heels, anxiously awaiting the results of the bc vs TA series on Saturday, April 23rd at 0:00 CEST.
China has a bit to make up for after the league season was put on hold as Shanghai had entered a lockdown. They have four slots allocated to them and only PSG.LGD has officially secured a place at the Major. RNG, Team Aster, and Xtreme Gaming are pretty much guaranteed a place.
There has not been any official word on what will happen to the three spots allocated to Eastern Europe. Due to the war in Ukraine, Valve has postponed the DPC for Eastern Europe indefinitely.
Spring Tour 2022
- Regional Leagues total DPC points: 920
- Major total DPC points: 2,700
Division I
Those teams in Division I will be fighting for a spot at the "first" Major of the competitive year, and a share of the 690 DPC points and $205,000. Only the top five teams from Division I will earn DPC points. The sixth-placed team will get to keep its spot in the league, while those finishing in the 7th/8th place will be relegated into Division II for the next Tour.
Division II
Division II has a total prize pool of $75,000 and no DPC points to offer, but those placing top two at the end of the Spring Tour will promote into Division I for the next Tour. The prize pool will be split between the top 6 teams, while the bottom two will be eliminated from the regional league and will have to go through open qualifiers for the next Tour.

Regional slot allocation for ESL Stockholm Major:
- Western Europe: 4 slots
- China: 4 slots
- Eastern Europe: 3 slots
- Southeast Asia: 3 slots
- North America: 2 slots
- South America: 2 slots
All teams that will make it to the Stockholm Major will be split into two groups and will play in a round-robin, two-game series format with elimination on the line.
Top 4 teams from each group will advance to the playoffs upper bracket, 5th-6th placed teams from each group will advance to the playoffs lower bracket, while the bottom 3 teams will be eliminated.
Prize pool and DPC points distribution
Despite the format change and the disappearance of the wild card stage, the prize pool distribution and the DPC points allocation will not change and only the top 8 placed teams will be awarded for their run as follows:
- 1st place: $200,000 & 680 DPC points
- 2nd place: $100,000 & 610 DPC points
- 3rd place: $75,000 & 530 DPC points
- 4th place: $50,000 & 460 DPC points
- 5th - 6th place: $25,000 & 385 DPC points
- 7th - 8th place: $12,500 & 240 DPC points
ESL One Stockholm Major is set to unfold May 12-22 at Hovet Arena and is not just the first Major of the year, but also the first LAN tournament for Dota 2 that will welcome a live audience in more than two years.
