Dota 2 is coming back on US soil after more than five years.
PGL Boston Major was the last Major held in the United States and TI7 was the last premiere Dota 2 event held in the country, as ESL One Los Angeles Major had to be canceled back in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic.
The summer of 2022 is slated to bring Dota 2 back to the NA fans with the PGL Arlington Major, which will be hosted at the largest dedicated esports facility in North America, Esports Stadium Arlington.
PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022 will take place between August 4 and 14 with a total of 18 teams fighting for a share of the $500,000 prize pool and a last shot at securing the much needed Dota Pro Circuit points to lock themselves a spot at TI11.
According to the official announcement made by PGL, the Esports Stadium Arlington will open its doors for a live audience, but details on the ticketing will be revealed in the coming days.
We are fortunate to be back in North America with another Major after Boston. We love to run events in the USA, and we have wonderful memories from 2016: it was a great tournament, and the fans were fantastic. Having a tremendous tournament with DOTA 2 enthusiasts in the stands after a long time will be great! – Silviu Stroie, CEO PGL
While the community waits for more information regarding PGL Dota 2 Major Arlington 2022, the last Major before TI11, the first Major of the 2022 DPC is set to take place at the end of the Spring Tour, from 12th to 22nd of May in Stockholm, Sweden.
