PSG.LGD is the first team to reach the 550 Dota Pro Circuit points milestone at the end of the Winter Tour.
Undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in the Dota 2 scene, PSG.LGD are finishing the first DPC season at the top of the rankings with a clean 7-0 series score in the regional league and smooth sailing through the Chinese Regional Finals.
They reached the grand finals by cutting through EHOME in the first round of the upper bracket and by taking down the revamped Royal Never Give Up roster twice. The first confrontation with RNG sent the latter to the lower bracket finals, where they seemed to be warming up against Team Aster on the finals day.

vs
Royal Never Give Up
Coming off hot after a quick 2-0 versus Aster, RNG opened the grand finals with a dominant first game. Zhong "God King" Liushuai lived up to his nickname, forcing the GG call around the 30 minute with a six slotted Troll Warlord and 11/0/8 K/D/A. However, the loss didn’t negatively impact the PSG.LGD squad, who bounced back with fast paced and objective taking oriented drafts. They evened the score with a Terrorblade-Razor-Tidehunter trio core and a Jakiro pick that made the difference in both team fights and high ground push. Zhang "Faith_bian" Ruida got to play the Tidehunter in game three and four as well, becoming a constant threat for RNG with his ultimate and capacity to stay in the front lines while the rest of his team was clearing RNG.
Despite having several good team fights and plenty of burst damage through all the games, RNG succumbed to PSG.LGD’s pressure. The last match of the series even featured a few personal mistakes from God King on Morphling, which allowed Wang "Ame" Chunyu to take full control of the game even more on his PA.

PSG.LGD’s successful run in the regional finals comes to no one's surprise, but moving forward, it will be interesting to see how fast they can adapt to the new patch and what will be their initial thoughts on how to play the game on the 7,31 patch.
