OG take The International 10 qualifiers road, AniMajor Europe slots decided

The International 10 closed qualifiers will be spicy as OG are taking for the third time in a row the long road to the biggest esports tournament.

OG have lost their second shot at making it to a Major this year after dropping 0-2 their final series in the Dota Pro Circuit Season 2 Europe upper division league. Team Liquid took a quick and commendable victory over the TI defending champions to secure themselves a group stage ticket to the upcoming WePlay AniMajor while making the road to TI10 for OG a bit more complicated.

While Team Liquid are Europe’s group stage seeded team at the AniMajor and and Alliance will enter the tournament from a playoff spot, Team Nigma and Team Secret will start their Major story from the wild card stage.

In the meantime, OG, Brame and Tundra Esports will play this coming weekend in a three-way tiebreaker with relegation on the line. The exact dates and hours for the tiebreaker are yet to be announced.

With Europe regional league done and dusted, CIS, Southeast Asia, China, North and South America regions will lock in their representatives by the end of the week. So far, Virtus.pro are CIS playoff team and Team Spirit locked themselves a spot in the group stage.  For all the other regions the battle is still wide open.

WePlay AniMajor will run June 2-13 with a total of eighteen teams fighting for the title, a share of the $500,000 prize pool and 2,700 DPC points. This will be the last Major ahead of The International 10, which has been confirmed by Valve to be held August 5-15 in Stockholm, Sweden.
