After not making it to the first Major of the year, a roster change and a new patch for the second season of Dota Pro Circuit regional leagues, TNC Predator have finally found their stride and seem ready to reclaim supremacy in the Southeast Asia region.
Their debut in the DPC SEA league #S2 was made with a clean 2-0 over Execration last week and was followed by strong performances over Omega Esports and OB.Neon Esports, which propel TNC Predator at the top of the charts with 3-0 overall series score.
OB.Neon was the only team to give TNC a bit of a challenge. The Singapore Major SEA sensation squad took game one of the best-of-three series by pretty much replicating what they did at the major. They put Andrei "skem" Ong on Nature’s Prophet in the offlane and ran over TNC with a carry Void Spirit and a mid lane Dragon Knight.
Interestingly enough, Beastmaster was completely ignored in the first game. But after not being picked or banned in the opening match, TNC got their hands on the hero in the second game and it looked like the perfect answer to the aggressive core duo that Neon were running. They went again with Furion and Void Spirit in the same positions for the second game but got decimated by the Wild Axes. TNC rounded out their draft with plenty of catch and hard lockdown spells to make sure the two highly mobile cores of Neon wouldn’t escape the initiations. The series was pushed to a decisive game three and although they lost with the Void-Furion duo into Beastmaster, Neon continued the same drafting pattern.
TNC were once again allowed to spam those Axes in conjunction with plenty of stuns and control abilities coming from Lion, Puck and Pangolier, which led to another loss for OB.Neon Esports.
Week two of SEA upper division comes to an end for the latter with mixed results. OB.Neon are sitting on the fourth place in the league with 1-1, while on the top three teams are TNC Predator with 3-0, BOOM Esports and Omega Esports, both with 2-1 overall series score.
