Pieliedie rounds out Mineski roster

Johan "pieliedie" Åström has assumed the support role, position 5 to round out Mineski's roster heading into the Chongqing Major Southeast Asia Qualifiers this weekend.

Earlier in the month, Mineski said goodbye to Chai 'Mushi' Yee Fung after over a year together. Since then, Mineski competed in the Chongqing Major SEA open qualifiers with Wai Pern "Net" Lim where they were able to secure a place in the regional qualifiers.

Despite their successful run, the SEA team didn't retain Net and instead sought out a permanent replacement in the lineup with Swedish veteran Johan 'pieliedie' Åström.

Pieliedie last played for Fnatic but was released September 1st following a disappointing 13-16th place finish at The International 2018, where he and the team dropped out of contention in the first round of the lower brackets. He had since been part of the talent lineup for Kuala Lumpur Major but had not been seen competing on any team.

Mineski will be participating in the Chongqing Major Southeast Asia Qualifiers taking place between November 25-27, vying for one of at least two slots for the main event set to take place mid-January 2019.

Mineski Roster:
Malaysia Thiay 'March/JT' Jun Wen
Malaysia Kam 'NaNa/Moon' Boon Seng
Australia Damien 'kpii' Chok
Korea Kim ‘Febby’ Yong-min
Sweden Johan 'pieliedie' Åström
