Team Secret has finally revealed their long-awaited roster, welcoming back zai and introducing Nisha to the lineup.
Ever since Peter 'PPD' Dager announced his new team to include Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard and Adrian "Fata" Trinks last week, fans have been eagerly awaiting what the new Team Secret lineup would look like. The team was once again considered to be among the top contenders to seize claim to the Aegis at The International 8. It wasn't much of a surprise that after a disappointing 5-6th place finish in the main event, that the team was going to look at some changes for the upcoming DPC 2018-2019 season.
At the start of the year, the Europeans dominated the EU region, taking all of the qualifier spots for the first three events and the majority of them for the first two months before tournament organizers started to invite them directly. With commendable finishes right off the bat, they took points right away, continuing to be a strong presence at events until they landed their first title at DreamLeague Season 8, a feat that they repeated in the next iteration at DreamLeague Season 9.
While they might not have had the most stand out record or performance of the year, they were consistent and able to slid into the fourth place of the DPC rankings.
Replacing Fata will be the Swedish sweetheart, Ludwig 'Zai' Wahlberg who makes his return not only to the offlane role, but also to the organization. Zai was part of the lineup in 2015 from January through TI5 when he then returned to Evil Geniuses.
Micha? 'Nisha' Jankowski, the Polish carry sensation will be replacing Ace. Nisha has built up a standout reputation playing for Team Kinguin-Let's Do It over the last four years.
Team Secret will be making their new roster debut at The Kuala Lumpur Major regional, having been honored with an invite into the closed qualifiers set to take place starting on September 16th.
