Abed leaves Execration

Earlier today, Execration's Abed 'Abed' Yusop announced his departure from the team.

In a Facebook post earlier today, Abed announced his departure from the Filipino squad. His departure from Execration comes hot on the heels of his upcoming absence from ESL One Genting 2017 in January along with the recent VISA issues which cost Execration their ticket to the Boston Major.

I made this difficult decision in order to take a short break and later pursue my career in a different working environment. - Abed

During his time with Execration, Abed helped the Filpino team capture a number of titles, including a first place finish at the ASUS ROG SEA Cup over Team Faceless, and a second place finish at the recent ROG Masters, losing out to Team Secret. However, most people remember Abed for his stunning Meepo play against compLexity Gaming in the TI6 Wild Card Qualifiers, going 18-0 with the Geomancer, and sending coL home.

Despite missing out on TI6 after being eliminated by Escape Gaming, Abed moved on to win his first premier tournament shortly after at the MPGL Southeast Asian Championship, triumphing over MVP.Phoenix. Even with his departure, the future looks bright for the young upstart given his and his team's performance at TI6. Especially with a previous Facebook post by Abed's admin on his page, citing the possibility of a new team for Abed.

We wish Abed, along with Execration the best of luck in the upcoming future, and we hope to see his return to the competitive scene soon. Abed's full announcement can be found here.
