The Spring reshuffle reaches China also as VG.J is joined by Xu "fy" Linsen and Liu "Freeze" Chang, replacing Wang "Nono" Xin and Xu "Hym" Zhi.
In another event of the post-Boston Major reshuffle, VG.J has decided to change it up between their own rosters as Fy reunites with Lu "Fenrir" Chao to form one of the most formidable duos in Dota history, and Freeze, who had joined Vici Gaming previously as their analyst, is set to replace Nono as the midlaner. Named for their honorary captain and professional basketball player - Jeremy Lin, VG.J had been lacking results with their previous roster, with their best placing at Dota 2 ACE, where they secured second place. However, that is expected to change with VG's new additions.
VG.J Roster:
Sun "Agressif" Zheng
Liu "Freeze" Chang
Bai "rOtk" Fan
Xu "fy" Linsen
Lu "Fenrir" Chao
The roster is expected to rise to the top of the Chinese scene and may make VG.J the greatest winners of this Spring Reshuffle, mainly due to their reuniting of fy and Fenrir. The duo split ways after a disappointing run at the Shanghai Major where they placed last, with Fenrir going to EHOME and Fy going to Vici Gaming's new "Reborn" roster. Both of them showed that they were extremely talented without their significant others, as Fy secured a Top 8 finish with his team at the Manila Major, and Fenrir placed 5-6th at TI with EHOME who lost only to finalists Digital Chaos.
The roster also features the emergence of Freeze, who has played before in EHOME.L but yet to prove himself internationally. Led by the skillful captaincy of rOtk, and carried by Agressif, who shocked the world with his Phantom Lancer and Gyrocopter plays at the International 2015, they look set to be a real force in 2017. It will be interesting to see how well this roster fares at the Kiev Major, and how well they establish themselves in the international platform going up to Kiev.
