23 Dota 2 personalities to travel to Los Angeles for a Mafia LAN called The Town, Beyond the Summit will be hosting this event.
Mafia is an 8+ player game that takes anywhere between 30 minutes to 3 hours (or more) per a game. It has no board so it's perfect for a large party (especially late at night when people have been drinking) because the players can be all over the room.
The basic concept is that members of the dreaded mafia have infiltrated our community and we, as concerned citizens, need to root them out. So every day we hold a town meeting and lynch someone we suspect of being a member of the mafia (it's not as bad as it seems: we vote first). Then, every "night" the mafia secretly meet and pick a townsperson to kill; the townspeople learn about it in the morning. There is a also an undercover cop floating around somewhere who can help the townspeople as well as a doctor or medic in some modes of the game.
The event will go on for 3 days, the 28th-30th December, starting tomorrow and at the end of each day they'll do a challenge. This means that they and we will have more than Mafia to look forward to.
A lot of the personailities are from BTS such as David "LD" Gorman, however Charlie Yang, the manager of EG, also invited personalities such as Austin "Capitalist" Walsh. The day starts at 10:30 PST, with Mafia starting at 11:00 and then finishing at 19:00. This allows them to have time for a short rest before the final item of the day at 19:30. Beyond the Summit will be streaming this event on their Twitch channel.
