The second set of series if over, Cloud9 are continuing with their long game spree, Secret get back on track and LGD destroy CoL 2-0.
Cloud 9 vs Natus Vincere
Natus Vincere started their TI campaign well but Cloud9 managed to steal the game. The Ukranians had a good draft, picking Slardar and Shadow Fiend against Gyrocopter and Viper. XBOCT had a great start, getting 3 kills by minute ten a blink dagger, Funnik also started well and was involved in kills, even getting a solo kill on EE-Sama's Gyrocopter. Dendi were heavily favored in the mid games until Slardar went Midas, consequently delaying his BKB.
The mid game didn't start well for Cloud9 but they managed to win a couple of fights to stay on the tail of Na'VI but the CIS squad was in full control. Even though Na'VI had a couple of bad fights, they managed to kill Misery and get Roshan and pushed for the barracks. They got middle barracks but still lost heroes, giving a C9 and overall gold lead. Same thing happens again, Na'VI gets barracks but dies, EE eventually buys a Rapier and C9 push. Even though Natus Vincere were two racks up, EE simply walks in and kills all of Na'VI and just win the game.
The second game was complete dominance from Natus Vincere. Leshrac and Earthshaker shut down two lanes with their roaming. Dendi got a 14 minute Bloodstone and had 17 charges by 18 minutes, thanks to an ultra kill. Na'VI get barracks at minute 25 and Cloud9 are way down. The CIS team push the base again at minute 25, forcing a good game call and drawing the seires.
Natus Vincere managed to take off a reeling Cloud9, even though they deserved two games. They should be satisfied with this results since Cloud9 are considered one of the better teams in the group, on the other hand C9 have had a bad day so far; going 1-3.
Invictus Gaming vs Team Secret
Team Secret had a shaky start to their TI campaign after they dropped one game to Fnatic. The first game for IG featured: Luo on Zeus in the safe lane, a mid-lane Ferrari Bloodseeker and an aggressive trilane with Wyvern, Gyrocopter and Rubick; Secret: Arteezy on a mid-lane Templar Assassin, QWOP on a solo safe lane and aggressive tri for Bounty Hunter, Undying and Dazzle.
The aggressive yields first blood on Chuan but Bounty dies and Arteezy also gets solo killed in the mid lane. But RTZ manages what he lost by 24 minutes; a Blink, Desolator and a Daedalus. At this point he is at the top of the net worth charts while s4 is second on his QWOP. Secret get roshan very quickly thanks to Dazzle and TA; iG challenges them but gets team wiped. With the Aegis in hand, Secret push and get bottom racks. iG gets wiped once again at their tier two and tap out giving Secret a very convincing victory.
In the second game, Team Secret pick Crystal Maiden and Bounty Hunter to support s4 in his mid-lane endeavor against Ferrari’s Razor. RTZ Gyrocopter gets first blooded in the safe lane by the offlane QWOP. Kuroky’s Spirit Breaker also gets a revenge kill on the Lina. Arteezy dies again even though CM and Bounty were there to help him. iG get consistent kills shutting down both the mid and safe lane.
Zai tries to force down towers with his brood and controls the map. He continuously annoys iG and gets a kill here or there as well. Secret finally wins a fight with a huge CM ultimate by Puppey. Secret start snowballing by minute 21 and iG starts losing heroes left and right. Zai constantly annoys iG with his rat skills; Secret take a fight at minute 26, dive tier 4s and still don’t take any loses and secure themselves the victory.
