Na'Vi signs former ASUS.Polar player DkPhobos

It may have taken a few days, but Natus Vincere have finally announced their newest acquisition - the Ukrainian player Alexander 'DkPhobos' Kucheria. The former ASUS.Polar mid player will make his debut with his new team today in the match against Alliance for D2CL.

The Ukrainian powerhouse Natus Vincere has just released their official announcement regarding the replacement of Gleb 'Funn1k' Lipatnikov, who decided to depart the squad a few weeks ago. The newest acquisition of the club is Alexander 'DkPhobos' Kucheria, the former mid-player of ASUS.Polar. Kucheria used to work with Natus Vincere in the past, but not as a member of their eSports rosters. However, his solid recent performance made him a much desired addition for the troubled CIS squad.

Statement by DkPhobos :

My being in ASUS.Polar team has come to an end. We made a really long way together with my teammates, and at the start of it we couldn't predict where it would go. The decision to leave the team was really hard for me, because both rosters are not only talented players, but people who I enjoy playing with.
I want to thank my teammates Illidan and LiL: they were with me since the very beginning and managed to unlock their potential and to adjust to the teamwork. I want to thank fng for his leadership, understanding and atmosphere and thank Mag for his gameplay.
Also, I want to thank the management of Virtus.Pro for their professional approach and believing in us: Olga 'KozaDereza", Georgiy 'drAmer', Sergey 'diver' and Anton 'Sneg'. Now we have to start the new era in the history of CIS Dota, but with different tags.

There were several theories regarding Na'Vi's fifth member. Most of them wanted Andrew 'Mag' Chipenko to be the ideal offlane choice for the Ukrainian club, especially after his departure from ASUS.Polar earlier this week. Empire's Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok also seemed like a solid choice, but his transfer would force either him or Daniil 'Dendi' Ishutin to switch to the offlane position, something neither players would prefer. This is not the case with DkPhobos, who used to play offlane for ASUS.Polar during their NVMI days, and will certainly not find it diffcult to change his role once again. Worth pointing out is that DkPhobos played alongside Goblak and Dendi in DTS.Chatrix in Dota1 several years ago.

DkPhobos will make his debut with Natus Vincere today, in the match between Alliance and Natus Vincere for D2CL #5 at 18:00 CET.

Natus Vincere roster :

Ukraine Alexandr 'XBOCT' Dashkevich
Ukraine Daniil 'Dendi' Ishutin
Ukraine Alexander 'DkPhobos' Kucheria
Russia Ivan 'VANSKOR' Skorokhod
Ukraine Artur 'Goblak' Kostenko
