Invictus Gaming is the first Chinese team to qualify for the 11th season of StarLadder, triumphing over CDEC in the upper finals and hence booking their ticket to the LAN finals in Kiev. Tomorrow, CDEC and VG will battle it out to decide the second Chinese representative that will be going to Kiev.
Two Chinese teams will make it out of the StarLadder 11 qualifiers and book their ticket to Kiev, Invictus Gaming is the first, having put up an impressive performance in the play-offs; managing to go flawless beating CDEC and LGD 2-0 despite nearly being eliminated in the round robins. Interestingly, IG pulled off this feat without their full roster, Xu 'BurNIng' Zhi Lei stood in for Wong 'Chuan' Hock Chuan. In their games, BurNing played heroes such as Medusa and Morphling on the carry position whereas Luo 'Luo' Yinqi, IG's usual carry, was put on support. Also seen in the first game vs CDEC, 430 played a caster oriented Shadow Fiend going Mekansm, Dagger, Hex and Shivas.
The second Chinese team to qualify for the LAN finals will be decided tomorrow, the victor of CDEC vs Vici Gaming will take the last slot. This two teams faced off earlier in the play-offs, the result was 2-0 in CDEC's favor; an upset against VG who are considered one of the best teams in China, and in the world even. Hence there is no clear favorite for this match up, it only depends on whether CDEC will be able to repeat their stellar performance from before or if VG will learn from their mistakes and take revenge.
