Solo leaves Team Empire

In a sudden turn of events, Solo has voluntarily left Empire. In the statement released by Empire, the reason given for Solo's departure was that he needed a break from competitive Dota for personal reasons.

Regarding the departure of Alexey 'Solo' Berezin from Team Empire, an article was posted on Empire's website, it contained statements from both Solo and Empire's CEO. The post detailed that Solo left Empire to take a break, aiming to focus on streaming in his free time; it also contained information about the stand-in they are going to be using, Ilya 'Alohadance' Korobkin. In addition to that, Silent will be taking over as the captain of team.

Official Statements:

Alexey "Solo" Berezin:
"Thanks to Team Empire for the opportunity to prove myself in the role of a support, but unfortunately, I have to take a break from DotA indefinitely for personal reasons.

During these 3 months playing together I learned a lot from the team and was filled with the atmosphere. I believe that the guys will succeed and Team Empire will sparkle even brighter than last year. Thanks to everyone who supported me and the team, good luck!"

Alexander "StrangeR" Solomonov - Team Empire CEO:
"Aleksey took an unexpected decision for us to take a break and give the team the opportunity to play without him. The management did not object to this.

It was pleasure to work with Alexey, of course, he is a very professional player with a huge desire to play and win. Solo is an universal player and he can successfully perform at various game roles. I don't rule out the possibility that we will work together in the near future.

As for the candidacy of the 5th player, we will not hurry with this and announce him when we are completely sure."

Team Empire's performance recently been less than remarkable. The team is plagued with roster issues and has been unable to maintain a solid roster ever since the conclusion of The International 2014.
