StarLadder SEA: Invasion and Rave dominating

Invasion and Rave are both sitting at the top of the round robins having a score of 5-1 and 4-1 respectively. Team Malaysia on the other hand are not looking too hot after being taken down by Mith.Trust and Insidious Idol.

Team Invasion Esports

The StarLadder SEA round robins are almost half way through, and Invasion is in the lead with Rave following closely behind. Coming in third and fourth are First Departure and G-Guard with the scores of 3-0 and 3-1 respectively, G-Guard's current score is a small surprise, putting up such a good score despite being recently formed. The Aussies, Can't Say Wips and the Filipinos, Execration are currently joint last place, both with a score of 0-4. Team Malaysia are currently 0-3, dropping games against both Insidous Idol and a very close game against Mith-Trust.

Round Robin
Matches Completed: 18/45
Teams Confirmed: TBD
Teams Eliminated: TBD

Looking at the games left to be played and performances of the teams, the standings look very open to change. Here is a break down of the different standings and games yet to be played for the teams:

Rave and Invasion:

Both teams are strong candidates for top 4 in the round robin, if they keep up their current form. Invasion has been in excellent form, netting them the number one rank in South-East Asia. The team is sitting at the top and only lost to second place team Rave. Both teams still have to face strong opponents such as First Departure or MVP.Phoenix, but it is unlikely that they will not finish in the top four, especially Invasion has a pretty comfortable lead.

G-Guard and First Departure:

G-Guard, being a recently formed team, has been able to perform quite convincingly. The team was able to take down Rave and their only loss was against Invasion. Having faced two of the strongest teams already, G-Guard is a hot contestant for the top four. First Departure is in a similar situation in the standings, however still has to face both Rave and Invasion, as well as G-Guard. It is likely that the match against G-Guard could decide which of these two teams will advance and who won't.

Team Malaysia, Execration and Can't Say Wips:

Execration and Can't Say Wips are currently sitting at the bottom of the division, both with a total of 4 losses each. Losing is not an option anymore if they want to keep it up, but it seems unlikely that Execration will repeat their success from last season and finish in a top position. Team Malaysia is in a similar position, with one loss less. To make matters worse for the Malaysians, the team still has to face Rave and First Departure, two of the stronger opponents.

MVP.Phoenix, Insidious Idol and MiTH.Trust:

The middle field of the tournament is currently occupied by Insidious Idol and MiTH.Trust. Both are sitting at a 2-3 record and have realistic chances at a top four finish. Both teams also have to face each other still, a match-up that is likely to decide who advances. Outside of that match-up however, MiTH.Trust has the easier gameplan ahead of them, whereas the Singaporeans still have to face Rave. Both of them also have to face MVP.Phoenix, as the Koreans are currently in Sweden and have yet to enter the competition. The boost from DreamLeague could give them some much needed momentum to swing a lot of their games into their favor.
