The Chinese StarLadder round robins are half way done with Vici Gaming in the lead. Speed Gaming is on fire, upsetting both Vici Gaming and CDEC consecutively in the groupstage.
The current standing are Vici Gaming at first despite their shaky start against Speed Gaming, CDEC at second and Speed Gaming at third. The top four will advance to the playoffs. The current standings of Vici Gaming and CDEC are not a surprise with them having played the most games and also being the favorites. However, Speed Gaming coming in third, having the score 2 - 0 after having only played games against both Vici Gaming and CDEC is a really big surprise, as no one expected them to pull two upsets consecutively. CDEC is in a risky spot being 3 - 3 with one game left to play, both LGD and IG are candidates to overtake them with one won and zero games played respectively.
Both Lai and IMG (a recently formed team) are sitting at the bottom of the groups, it is not very likely that they will be higher up after the break as they will face up against LGD and IG who are likely contenders for the top four. As for HGT, there is a chance they place within the top four if they take two more games.
The Chinese division of StarLadder will take a smaller break and games will continue December 8th.
