Team Malaysia and VP.Polar will be unable to attend the LAN finals of Synergy League, each for their own reasons, and they have been replaced by Moscow Five and Power Rangers. The Chinese teams may also be forced to skip the event, but the organization is looking for a solution to the issue.
More issues appear for the upcoming LAN events of the winter, with Synergy League being forced to change the team roster of their finals right after DreamLeague's recent changes. According to a short interview with the organization by ESFX, Malaysia and VP.Polar will not go to Barnaul, with Moscow Five and Power Rangers being chosen to take their place. Furthermore, the invitation of the two Chinese teams ViCi Gaming and NewBee are also tentative.
Malaysia's cancellation was expected, as their roster now includes only three players after the departures of Yee Fung 'MuShi' Chai and Joel Chan 'XtiNcT' Zhan Leong. On the other hand, VP.Polar may have lost their captain Artur 'Goblak' Kostenko, but this is not the reason for their absense. The Russian squad decided to play in DreamLeague LAN finals instead of Synergy, and therefore they cannot attend both the two colliding events. Moscow Five and PR were chosen due to their group ranking, as well as their convenient location.
As for the Chinese teams, no information has been released about the nature of the problems they face. According the Synergy League representatves, the organization is trying to resolve the issues that emerged. It should be reminded that both ViCi Gaming and NewBee did not travel to Kiev for StarLadder X finals last month, with NewBee stating that the players have lost their passports. We are expecting an official announcement from either Synergy League or the two teams soon with more details on the situation.
