StarLadder XI announced with $80,000 base prizepool

More details have been released about the upcoming eleventh season of the international tournament StarLadder. Four regional divisions will determine the eight participants that will travel to Cyberarena, Kiev and battle for the $80,000+ prizepool.

The SLTV organization celebrated StarLadder's ten season anniversary this fall with a very successful LAN event in Kiev this October, despite the minor setback caused by the Chinese teams that cancelled their participation. Now that the dust has settled, SLTV announced yet another season of StarLadder, starting tomorrow on November 14th. Much like the two previous seasons, season XI will be international, and teams from Europe, SEA, America and China will fight for the $80,000 initial prizepool.

The tournament format for each division will be the same as Season X : A round-robin groupstage will be held for each region, with teams playing against each other in best-of-one matches. For Europe, the top-four teams of the leaderboard by the end of the groupstage period advance to LAN, while the top four teams for the rest of the regions will have to go through a double-elimination playoff bracket to determine their region's representative.

Last but not least, the tournament's LAN finals will be held at CyberArena, Kiev from 15th through 18th January 2015. Live broadcasting for all the games of StarLadder will be provided by SLTV in Russian, BeyondTheSumimt in English and HuoMaoTV in Chinese. A DotaTV ticket will also be available, boosting the tournament's prizepool with each purchase.
