The round robin phase of the SEA regional qualifiers is now over, and Malaysia, CSW, Invasion and First Departure will fight for the spot in The Summit 2 main event. The double elimination playoffs will begin tomorrow, with Invasion taking on CSW at 11:00 CET.
One more regional division of The Summit 2 has reached the playoffs stage, the double elimination bracket that determines the team that will travel to Los Angeles for the tournament's LAN playoffs in December. After Europe and China, four teams have emerged from the SEA groupstage, and their battle for the main event spot will commence tomorrow.
The absolute kings of the SEA leaderboard, Team Malaysia, managed to qualify without dropping a single game against their 11 opponents and finish first with ease. They are followed by Can't Say Wips, the Australians that also performed quite well, losing games only to Malaysia, Johnny's Revenge and First Departure. Invasion and FD finished with the same 7-4 record, but Invasion snatched the third place due to their victory in the head-to-head match between the two teams. As for MiTH.Trust, Rave and MVP.Phoenix, they all had the chance to reach the playoffs, but their mediocre results in their last two games cost them their spot.
The playoffs will begin tomorrow, November 7th, with the match between Invasion and CSW at 11:00 CET. Malaysia will take on First Departure at 13:00 CET the same day. You can find the detailed schedule of The Summit 2 in our coverage hub here.
