November betting season - 2,000 rares to be won!

With the new month comes a start-anew betting contest, where as many as 2,000 rares will be handed out amongst the top five at the end of November. Also presented are the winners of October.

As you may or may not have noticed during the second part of October, we added a contest for users betting branches at our Dota 2 matches. The top five of the month were then promised rares, the contest was started half way through partially to reward the hard working branch betters, those betting even when no reward present. And the other reason was because the GGnet backpacks are literally overfilled with rares and we do not mind handing out some of them! Now as November has started, everyone's branches were reset to 50 earlier tonight, making it fair and square for everyone who wants to participate in the November betting contest.

The winners above will have the won rares added to their ItemBet balances within a day or two. After receiving them, the rares can either be transferred by the user into his or her Steam backpack, or to be placed as bets on matches. Find out more about itembetting here.

November contest

You place branches by clicking upcoming matches in our matchticker, everyone starts with 50 branches and from there on you can grow them by betting successfully. If you would ever find yourself losing all your branches, you can visit this page to reset them back to 50. The page is accessible if you browse a /dota2/ page at GosuGamers, then clicking your name in the top right corner (you need to be logged in obviously), which triggers the user menu. In the menu, select "My GosuBets".

When November ends, the top five will be rewarded, same as the October winners.

December will also feature another contest like these ones, and users' branches will once again be reset in the shift of months.
