It has been less than a fortnight since i-league ended, and ImbaTV has already announced a second season, along with a tentative schedule. The tournament will, again, be crowd-funded with a minor contribution from ImbaTV.
Following the success of the first edition of i-league, ImbaTV has announced the 2nd season of the tournament. The tournament is planned in a similar fashion to the first. A significant section of the prize pool will again be crowd funded and ImbaTV will unite with fundraiser platform Modian to create this opportunity for followers to contribute to the prize pool.
There has been a slight change in the teams to be featured in this season:
- China: 3 teams.
- Europe: 2 teams.
- America: 1 team.
- SEA: 1 team.
- Current Champions: Vici Gaming
The first season saw a total of $276,000 raised from the community along with a contribution from ImbaTV. This time, ImbaTV plans to invest $16,312 and promises to follow the league's conduct regardless of the results of the fundraiser. However, only 70% of the fundraiser will be added to the prize pool while the rest will be used for the organization of the tournament. Fans can contribute to the fundraiser till the 10th of November at imbatv.modian.com.
The tentative schedule for the qualifiers is as follows:
- America: 26th Nov -> 29th Nov
- Europe: 30th Nov -> 7th Dec
- SEA: 8th Dec -> 14th Dec
- China: 15th Dec -> 28th Dec
