Through an emotional announcement on their official website, the Team Liquid organization announced the official departure of Tyler 'TC' Cook from the club. TC has been playing for the Sneaky Nyx Assassins for quite some time, and the squad is expected to find a large sponsor soon.
This day marks the end of an era for the DotA2 squad of Team Liquid, as their last remaining long-time member Tyler 'TC' Cook has officially left the squad. With TC out of the picture, the organization now has zero DotA players under the TL banner, as he was left alone in the team after the simultaneous departure of Sam 'BuLba' Sosale and Max 'qojqva' Broecker.
TC took part in two consecutive Internationals with Team Liquid (and one with compLexity), reaching the 7th/8th place in 2013 and 9th/10th in 2014. While placing relatively low compared to other squads, the team managed to find solid victories against the toughest of opponents, including the upset against LGD in 2013 that eliminated the Chinese tournament favorites. Cook stayed in Team Liquid despite the massive changes after The International 3, and played a major part in TL's stellar performance in TI4.
TC's statement :
"It was an exciting moment when I first became a part of Liquid when they ventured into Dota, having been a fan of the site and starcraft team. The last two years have had their ups and downs in terms of results, but some great memories were made and will be always remembered. Thank you to all of my fans who have supported me, as well as all of the Liquid staff for the last two years. I am looking forward to what the future holds for me as a player."
With TC being released from Team Liquid, the Sneaky Nyx Assassins' roster is now complete. Their recent results in the North American scene have been impressive, including the 3-1 victory against Na'Vi.US in the Grand Final of Canada Cup #3. While nothing is confirmed yet, FLUFF's boys are expected to attract the attention of a prestigious sponsor soon.
