Following news of their mid standin Chessie's back problems and a pair of forfeited games, TI3 Champions the Alliance have been disqualified from the DotA 2 Champions League, with all of their match results nullified.
The DotA 2 Champions League's administrators have disqualified TI3 Chamions The Alliance, following two forfeited games. According to Artem Bykov, the D2CL's Product Manager, Alliance is "disqualified from the tournament," with the "results of all previous matches involving Alliance being nullified."
The Alliance's Jonathan 'Loda' Berg tweeted that they "had already used [their] wildcards," and would be "unable to reschedule," apologizing that it was "completely [their] own fault."
Sry guys, we have to ff our games in d2cl. We already used our wild cards and cannot reschedule. This is completely our own fault. Sry again

This comes just after the news that the Alliance's stand-in mid player, Chessie, was suffering from back problems, and would take a break to recover.
Fnatic's H4nn1, who will stand-in for Chessie at the ESL One NY, would be unable to play as a stand-in at the D2CL, due to the fact that H4nn1 already played for Fnatic in the D2CL.
The disqualification's effects would be almost minimal in the D2CL's tiebreakers, however. Only Team Tinker will be at a slight disadvantage, as they defeated the TI3 Champions 2-0.
The Alliance was scheduled to face up against Fnatic and Virtus Pro. Their W/L ratio will still stand, but the points gained by the Alliance and their opponents will not.
