The newly formed Secret Team will be unable to attend the upcoming WEC offline finals in September, due to their Chinese visa requests getting denied. Instead, Natus Vincere will be joining Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses in Hangzhou, China for the event.
Sad news for the fans of the Secret Team, the European squad that was directly invited to the LAN finals of World eSports Championship. According to the tournament organization, the Chinese visa applications of the members have been denied, and there is not enough time for the team to make a new request as the event will be taking place from September 5th through 7th. Therefore, the Ukrainian club Natus Vincere will be replacing Secret Team, joining Cloud9, EG, Titan and the four Chinese participants in Hangzhou.
The WEC Chinese qualifiers are currently under way to determine the last three challengers that will be travelling to Hangzhou to fight for the $96,000 first prize. The top-three teams along with NewBee will comprise the four representatives from China.
