Team Empire picks up Solo

Two days after parting ways with former support player Vanskor, Team Empire has acquired a new player already. The Russian organization adds former RoX.KIS player Aleksei 'Solo' Berezin to their line-up.

As expected, Russian organization has officially signed Aleksei 'Solo' Berezin. The former RoX.KIS player has been a stand-in for the team ever since Vanskor joined Na'Vi. Even though he used to take on core positions, he will switch to the support role for Empire.

Statement by Aleksei 'Solo' Berezin:

Hello! I am sincerely glad to have the opportunity to join such a strong team as Team Empire. This year I like to prove myself and become the best in the new, but already well familiar to me, the role of support. Over a couple of weeks I was able to play together and feel the atmosphere in the team and I think we will succeed. I send huge greetings to all my fans and fans of Team Empire! I will not let you down

The team already secured the MSi Beat It EU finals against VP with this line-up. More action from Team Empire will come soon as StarLadder will kick off tomorrow.

Team Empire is a Russian organization that fields teams and players in multiple eSports titles. In Dota 2 the brand has been able to field two strong teams that were able to dominate the European scene for quite a while, most recently throughout the first half of 2014. The team however was not able to live up to its potential during TI4.

Solo has been a long-term member for RoX.KIS, a roster that performed quite admirably leading up to the TI4 qualifiers. He is however known because of a betting scandal in which he bet against his own team, thus being banned from certain tournaments for a set amount of time. Ever since he has however not been involved in any controversies and has made sure to draw attention only in-game.

Current Team Empire roster:

Ukraine Roman 'Resolut1on' Fominok
Ukraine Andrew 'Mag' Chipenko
Russia Ayrat 'Silent' Gaziev
Ukraine Andrey 'ALWAYSWANNAFLY' Bondarenko
Russia Aleksei 'Solo' Berezin
