Keeping up the dominance in Nexon

No real upsets last time and no upsets time either. Underated, FXO and MVP all expand their lead with Underated already being the winner of Group C. The battle within these groups is now more about second place and the expecations for the clashes between the top Korean teams at a later stage are starting to build up. Next set of matches roll out on Saturday.

Quick recap

Eye of Tiger versus MVP (draft information)

MVP kept their record high by taking out Eye of Tiger with relative ease. MVP went for an extremely mobile line-up with Mirana, Storm and Timbersaw as their cores and out-maneuvered the other team who kept dropping heroes after extensive chases and getting caught off-guard. The game was fast paced as often seen in the Korean meta experimentation.

Underated vs AceOnline (draft information)

This game spelled Pudge and like the first game of the day, it was also fast paced and unfortunately one-sided. Underated started the aggression very early on which proved challenging for AceOnline who would rather play a stale game to farm up their Weaver and Lone Druid. Puck was picked to ensure this but in the end fell short to the co-ordinated aggression of Underated. Their hero skills worked well together in forcing AceOnline to take awkward positioning, such as Hook, Call Down, Telekinesis and Fiend's Grip.

FXOpen versus SeasonOne (draft information)

SeasonOne was expected by some to give FXOpen a run for their money but in the end it was a game like the prior ones, where one team took command and kept pressuring and forcing. Except that this time they did with Sniper. SeasonOne successfully applied pressure on Sniper early, forcing him into a more active skill build but when the early mid game kicked in, Devourer was able to control the fights while Sniper with excellent positioning could do what Sniper does best. The hero constellation from FXOpen gave them what they needed to easily punish SeasonOne for having one or more heroes dozing off slightly behind the others.
