With the TI13 qualifiers for four of the six regions complete, we take a look at the team and hero statistics for the games that have been played till now.
The qualifiers for The International 2024 (TI13) are more than half way done, with four of the six Dota 2 regions having decided what teams will be travelling to Denmark in October to fight for the Aegis. Only a few weeks before the qualifiers, Dota 2 patch 7.36 was released with facets and innate abilities introduced to the game, which has shaken things up quite a bit.
A total of 152 games were played across the four regions in question – China, North America, Eastern Europe and South America. There has been a lot of variety in hero picks, with 121 of the 124 heroes being picked at least once. Here, we take a look at the team and hero statistics for the first four sets of TI13 qualifiers. All data has been taken from datDota.

There are many new heroes like Clockwerk and Shadow Fiend that have gained popularity due to Dota 2 patch 7.36. Some heroes do seem overpowered, and there is bound to be a balance patch before the Riyadh Masters to bring a little parity. But even if there isn’t one, the current patch is still quite nascent and big tournaments is where all the strategies get placed on the table.
Only the final four slots remain to be determined for TI13 – two from Southeast Asia and two from Western Europe. There’s no doubt these regions will take inspiration from what they have seen from the first four regions and implement that into their strategies in a bid to get to the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament of the year. There have been some amazing games in the TI13 qualifiers till now, and the final two regions are bound to bring us more. By the 23rd of June, all 16 teams travelling to Denmark for TI13 will be finalized.
