Possible may move to VALORANT for JW, no news yet for Golden
Fnatic announced an overhaul of their roster, turning from an all-Swedish roster to an international lineup, and from the overhaul,
Jesper “JW” Weckselll and
Maikil “Golden” Kunda Selim have been benched by the team as they strategize for the rest of the year.
Right now only three players remain in the roster – Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson,
Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin and
Jack “Jackinho” StrömMattson. Fnatic has yet to confirm who will be replacing JW and Golden, or there will be more shuffling in the upcoming weeks.
“After 6 weeks of deep evaluations and hard work, we have decided to bench Jesper. We have spent tons of hours deciding which route we are going to take to bring Fnatic back to where we belong, and the final decision is to change to an international lineup. Jesper is one of the most experienced players and has done an amazing job in Fnatic.” - Andreas Samuelsson, CSGO Head Coach
During his 7 years with Fnatic, he has played over 1600 maps, won three of the first six Majors — DreamHack Winter 2013, ESL One Katowice 2015, and ESL One Cologne 2015, and grabbed over 20 titles for the organization.
“I have always tried my best every single day during this past almost 8 years to make Fnatic the absolute best it could ever be, sometimes it was harder and sometimes "easier" but in the end, I’m happy with what I have achieved here.
Now it’s time to take some time to reflect upon things, what I could possibly have done better or different, and bring that with me to whatever is next in life, be it CS, Valorant, or esports in general.” - Jesper "JW" Wecksell
As of today, the roster for FNATIC will be :
Freddy “KRiMZ” Johansson
Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin
Jack “Jackinho” StrömMattson
Fnatic will need to find new members or stand in fast, as Season 14 of Pro League is just around the corner
