Valve has just announced that the next CSGO Major Championship will be held at ESL One Cologne, from July 5-10, and will feature a $1,000,000 prize pool.
The Major will be held in the Lanxess arena, the same venue as last year’s huge tournament. The eight ‘Legends’ from MLG Columbus will travel to Cologne, Germany, to compete for their share of the $1 million prize.
They will face off against eight as-yet-undecided challenger teams, who will be determined through a LAN qualifier event: as we saw with the Columbus Major. This LAN qualifier will include the eight teams eliminated in groups at Columbus, in addition to eight teams who will earn their qualifier spots though Regional Minor Championships.
