PGL and HTC have merged their forces to host an unique event, which will feature 1v1 matches and will boast a $25,000.
We witnessed a lot of great moments over the course of last years in Counter Strike community. Many players were rotating on the top and were beating each other. However, all these clashes were featured in a classic 5v5 format. Today, PGL and HTC decided to move forward and host the first 1v1 LAN tournament.
The event will gather a total of sixteen top players to challenge each other in LAN environment in the PGL studios. The tournament is set to take place on April 23rd and 24th. Moreover, the players will be fighting for the lion’s share of $25,000 which will be up for grabs.
In order to make “things interesting”, PGL decided to include both superstars and up-and-comers into this event, so we will be able to see some of our favourite players battling each other, but also all these new names looking for their spot among the stars.
The first two names on the lnvitees list are two AWP players, Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács and Kenny “KennyS” Schrub. They are both considered as one of the best, if not the best, players for this role, so it will be very interesting to watch them clash for that ‘prestigious title’.
In the official press release, PGL has also stated that besides the top Counter-Strike action, the viewers will also be able to enjoy some extra activities like board games, arm wrestling etc. The question is simple, will we see Jaros?aw “pashaBiceps” Jarz?bkowski joining this wrestling event? It is yet to be seen.
