The large eSports org, FaZe, have picked up G2 for their CS:GO team.
The largely popular and renowned "Call of Duty" eSports organization, Faze, have just acquired their first CS:GO line-up, consisting of the old G2 players. The FaZe Clan organization has bought out the players' old contracts from G2, however the exact amount has not been publicized; a rather large acquisition, obviously resulting in a hefty price-tag.
It has been rumored for a few months that FaZe would pick up a CS:GO team, being hinted at by some of the "Call of Duty" FaZe Clan members.
This is the fifth organization rooted in "Call of Duty" to create a CS:GO team, FaZe following OpTic, SoaR, Obey and EnVyUs.
The team's first game under the FaZe name will be against Luminosity in Group A at Dreamhack ZOWIE Open Leipzig
The FaZe line-up is as follows:
Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad
HÄvard "rain" Nygaard
Ricardo "fox" Pacheco
Mikail "Maikelele" Bill
Philip "aizy" Aistrup
