The American organization has released a teaser image indicating that its new CS:GO team will be announced soon.
iBuyPower, a well known North American manufacturer of custom gaming systems, first started sponsoring professional gamers just a little over a year ago. Its CS:GO lineup experienced moderate success in 2014, managing to win back-to-back seasons of ESEA against top competitors. However, just last month its former lineup decided to leave the organization. Keven "AZK" Lariviere, Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham, Braxton "swag" Pierce, and Sam "DaZeD" Marine continued to play together with Spencer "hiko" Martin under the name of GX.
A couple weeks ago, Valve rocked the CS:GO community when it handed out indefinite bans to AZK, swag, and DaZeD, along with former iBuyPower member Joshua "steel" Nissan. This removed quite a few of North America's top players from the equation, as Skadoodle and hiko remain free agents. Despite the shocking news, iBuyPower vowed to return to the Counter-Strike scene in the future. It appears the future is now, according to iBuyPower's official twitter account.
Many in the community are already speculating as to the potential return of Skadoodle and hiko with new teammates. Others are quick to dismiss this notion, claiming that iBuyPower will simply scoop up one of North America's already sponsored teams, such as Team Liquid or eLevate. Of course, it is merely speculation until the new roster is officially announced. North American fans are certainly hoping that will be sooner rather than later.
