Last time Dmitriy "Happy" Kostin was in the spotlight was when he left Mousesports. When Mousesports decided to restructure its Warcraft squad and take a sabbatical from the WC3L, Happy left the team because of his strong urge to play in the WC3L. Since then, little has been heard from the young Undead player. But after a successful ladder season, Happy is qualified for the European Battle.Net Season 6 finals, and will play ToD in the first round.
Happy started his career in the Russian-based team es4x, and had after that a short stay in A.S Teamplay.it until he was picked up by Mousesports. In WC3L and later on NGL-ONE, Happy was a sure pillar to lean on as he claimed win after win for his team. But when offline tournaments outside of Russia approached Mousesports could all too often count out the Russian player after continuous visa troubles.
Happy's individual tournament triumphs can be counted on one hand. His most successful international tournament was the second season of Extreme Masters, where he ended up in sixth place. He is also known for winning 2007's Russian KODE5 final, but fell short in the global finals, losing to HasuObs in the quarter finals.
On the lookout for a WC3L team, Happy will surely do his best to shine in tomorrow's match against ToD. At noon tomorrow, we will see if he shines enough.
