World Elite and Fnatic are located in Group A. The other group, B, holds MeetYourMakers, SK-Gaming, wNv-Teamwork and Mousesports. The latter mentioned group houses three of the four NGL-ONE Season 4 playoffs participants, which has lead the scene to call it the group of death.

The event kicks off with the first round of Group A, where World Elite play fnatic and Beijing Esports Team goes up against Team Colorful.

The four-day-event features a total of eight teams going at it in a King of the Hill-based game format. Split up in two groups, all teams face eachother and the best two advance to the playoff stage.

To make the tournament more special, six so called "cards" can be used by the team "King". Each card has different abilities, such as Charm which allows the team captain to change the next map to a map of his choice. We also see a "Mirror Image" card, which gives the team captain the ability to switch the next game into a 2on2 instead of a 1on1. These special cards will make the tournament very interesting and diverse compared to other team-based tournaments as WC3L and NGL-ONE.

The Charm Card

- Allows the team captain to change the next map to a map of his choice. This is a "Turn-Over" card type.

The Split Card

- Allows the team captain to change the next game in the match to a best-of-3 instead of a best-of-1. This is a "Turn-Over" card type.

The Mirror Image Card

- Allows the team captain to change the next game in the match to a 2v2 instead of a 1v1. This is a "Turn-Over" card type.

The Phase Shift Card

- Allows the team captain to change the current player with another player. For example if Lyn beats WE.likE but his next match is against WE.Sky, SK Gaming could swop Lyn with any player still "alive" in their roster. This is an "Instant-Cast" card type.
