Shopify Rebellion advanced to the Upper Bracket Final after a dominating performance against BBL Queens. The North American team is a step closer to securing a seat at the Grand Finals table.
The heavy fan-favorites delivered and they will be facing another team with a huge fanbase, G2 Gozen. The two powerhouse teams will fight for the first golden ticket at the Championship.
Shopify Rebellion knocked off BBL Queens to the Lower Bracket after a strong performance at the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals. The series was a breeze for the North American team as they asserted their dominance over the EMEA team.
The absolute bloodbath was a playground for Shopify Rebellion. The team put up BBL Queens in a fast-paced brawl and they styled all over their opponents to advance in the tournament.
The first game saw Shopify Rebellion quickly chalk up the pistol and buy round. They were also able to snatch the enemies buy round under their noses. BBL Queens retaliated with two round wins but Shopify Rebellion did not let them have more than that during the first half.
Building on that momentum, Shopify Rebellion continued to dominate in the second half. BBL Queens tapped out of the first game.
Shopify Rebellion was poised to end the series immediately. During the second game, BBL Queens failed to make some calls and missed some defensive opportunities. It made them lose the crucial second round after winning the pistol round.
BBL Queens never really found their footing during the first half of the game and Shopify Rebellion ended it with a huge point advantage. The North American team continued to assert their dominance in the second half of the game.
Once again, BBL Queens failed to close out the round after a successful pistol round. Shopify Rebellion quashed their enemies’ hopes of turning the tables around. They were perfectly poised to close out the game with back-to-back round wins.
The game heavily favored Shopify Rebellion and ended with a 13-4 score.
