All the Hanbit Stars fans can rejoice. free[gm] and his crew are being bought up by ItemMania, a Korean online gaming item-trading company.

Today, Hanbit Soft has sold their Hanbit Stars contract to ItemMania, an online gaming item-trading company. Hanbit wanted to pull out of the contract earlier, but the Hanbitsoft president Kim Ki Young did not think it was a proper action to dissolve the team during the season.

- We will surely invest in Hanbit Stars to take back its old glory, I am very pleased to take over Hanbit Stars which symbolizes E-sports, said Lee Jung Hun.

Hanbit Stars is one of the oldest progaming teams, and was the winner of the first ProLeague. Many famous players have played under the Hanbit stall, such as Garimto, H.O.T-Forever and Silent_Control.

After a disappointing 10th place in last season's ProLeague, a fresh start and new owners can definitely come in handy. The team lacks any real superstar, in fact, only one of their players can be found in the top 30 KESPA ranking: Protoss player free[gm]. With new financial backup, Hanbit will be able to gain more muscle power for the upcoming season.
