The official games have been released on the WCG's website for the 2008 World Cyber Games. Two long time games have returned as both StarCraft and WarCraft III have once again been added to the list of games.
A total of 14 games will be played this year at the 2008 World Cyber Games Grand Final in Cologne, Germany this year. Over 700 players from 74 countries will attend the grand finals this year in early November this year. Dozens of these players will represent their countries in the StarCraft and WarCraft III tournaments.

This will be the 8th straight year that StarCraft has made an appearance in the line-up of games. It is also one of three games which have been in the WCG each year. The other two being Counter-Strike (which switched from 1.6 to Source, and then back to 1.6) and FIFA Soccer. It is no surprise that StarCraft has been in the line-up for so long. However with the release of StarCraft II, we could see StarCraft being knocked out of the WCG all together.

As always, WarCraft III is one of the premiere games in competitive eSports. It is no surprise that this game is once again in the list of games. This game was added to the WCG list the same year that it was released by Blizzard. Since then it has been in the WCG ever since.
